PARI, Go Live Asia to tease 39th Awit Awards at CREATEPhilippines x MIPAM 2026

Original Pilipino Music (OPM) has been on a golden streak—and not just internationally. Just as P-pop continues to make waves globally, here on our shores, Filipinos have also been listening to more and more OPM, whether through traditional broadcast channels or streaming platforms. That makes this year’s Awit Awards, presented by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI), together with Go Live Asia, the one to watch when it happens in September.

Before the big night, however, attendees of CREATEPhilippines x MIPAM 2026 get to enjoy an early celebration of the best of OPM as PARI, together with Go Live Asia, will stage a pre-Awit Awards concert at the event.

Happening from Sept. 11 to 13, CREATEPhilippines x MIPAM 2026 is the platform dedicated to the promotion, exchange, and internationalization of the Philippine performing arts sector. More than a festival showcasing the strength and diversity of the country’s performing arts scene, it is a trade-driven marketplace where local and international artists, producers, presenters, cultural institutions, and sector enablers meet to generate leads and business opportunities.

CREATEPhilippines x MIPAM is organized by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), with the support of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). It will be held at the Likhang Filipino Exhibition Halls and the Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez at the CCP.

Bringing OPM closer to people here and abroad

As the representative of the country’s recording industry distributors, the non-profit organization PARI counts both major record companies and smaller independent labels as its members. For more than 40 years, it has worked to create a favorable environment for music production and distribution through its advocacy work for legislation that supports members of the music industry. PARI also drives comprehensive anti-piracy campaigns to ensure fair compensation for creatives and maintain the industry’s integrity. Through its annual Awit Awards, the organization recognizes the Philippine music industry’s outstanding achievements.

The awards ceremony this year promises plenty of heavy-hitting musical acts across a variety of genres: SB19, Cup of Joe, Ben&Ben, IV of Spades, Dionela, Fitterkarma, Maki, Janine Berdin, Lola Amour, and more. It will also honor newer artists, as well as producers, writers, and other behind-the-scenes creatives who were instrumental in the creation and release of some of last year’s biggest hits.

Serving as a teaser at CREATEPhilippines x MIPAM is PARI and Go Live Asia’s pre-Awit Awards concert, featuring some of this year’s nominees, on Sept. 11 and 12 at the Likhang Filipino Exhibition Halls. Aside from getting to watch the concert for free, the public can buy tickets to the awarding ceremony at the event’s PARI booth. Awit Awards 2026 happens on Sept. 15 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

PARI’s participation in CREATEPhilippines x MIPAM 2026 will also introduce event-goers to different companies comprising the country’s music and live entertainment scene. Aside from some of its member record labels, PARI’s booth will feature Go Live Asia, a live events and entertainment production company and PARI’s partner in presenting this year’s Awit Awards, as well as Awit Awards: Dangal ng Musikang Pilipino in October 2026, the 40th Awit Awards in March 2027 and the Awit Fest in 2027.

CREATEPhilippines x MIPAM 2026 aims to open new pathways for artistic exchange, collaboration, and development. Through its dynamic programming, it hopes to bridge the different segments of the local performing arts sector and facilitate substantial interactions that lead to knowledge-sharing, capacity-building, business opportunities, and the continued excellence of the Philippine performing arts industry.
